Significant events of the decade are analyzed through Twelve categories that serve as a kaleidoscopic lens through time, (see the clickable links above), as well as the position of Cycles at the time, (see the clickable folder links in the upper left corner). You can read and link up and down vertically through this Timeline, or, you can go any Category and link horizontally to the same Category in other Timelines (links are provided at the head of each Category). This cross linking is designed to provide a fast and easy way to make reading fun and interesting.

See the Introduction for information on how to navigate thourgh this history Introduction to Part II.

Note to readers: Work from the Kala-Rhythm archives is being offered here in the Timelines for the first time. We are allowing a view into the Timelines now by posting both the finished and the unfinished pages of the Timelines as editing from our references continues.  Unfinished pages (like this one) contain raw data from history sources to which we give credit in our "biblio/webography". Check back for updates to this and other pages.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) transcended boundaries in the Physical Low that had been harder to cross in the more nationalistic times of the previous Physical High. This agreement, signed on December 8, 1993, created a trilateral trade block and was signed by Brian Mulroney of Canada, Carlos Salinas de Gortari of Mexico, and Bill Clinton of the United States. NAFTA has two supplements consisting of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC) and the North American Agreement on Labour Cooperation (NAALC) and it is designed to allow for greater trade and freer transport of goods between nations. The trade block went on to become the largest in the world in 2007.

From 1830s onward all factory produced instruments conformed to eqaul temperment. While J.S. Bach had created equal temperment for musical keys as a tuning system that could handle all of the keys, its was in this 1st Quarter of Standards that it was put into instrument producion.

Physical Low (1976 - 2060)

When we ended our Physical High and entered a Physical Low with the 336 year Physical Cycle, social boundaries and nationalism around the world lessened . Replacing recognizable music styles that localize their origin is was this timely emergence of a homogenous music trend that combines styles from many lands which had hither fore remained separate. Intellectual 1st Qtr. Foundation (944-1076)

Guido Monaco (c. 991/992 - 1033) invented musical notation that set precedent in writing music by creating a printed red line as a fixed point to show the position of other notes that were defined with accent marks to indicate direction of pitch. The red line was an "F" line because the line represented the note "F." This was later renamed with the French word, "clef," which means "key." Later, the other lines of the staff were added. Guido invented the "do, ra, mi" scale.
