Elementary and secondary schools began participation with the first National Green Week as teacher bring "green" living lessons into the classroom. Students shall be taught select reusable snack containers over their disposable counterparts in order to reduce waste. Nation Green Week is organized by the Green Education Foundation which seeks to lead children in "balance individual freedom with the good of society" and to encourage families to raise children with new priorities.
