The So-called Holy Wars reached new levels with the attacks on the USA on September 11, 2001. When two planes were flown into the World Trade Center buildings and another plane was flown in the Pentagon Building in Washington, D.C., is was the organized result of the religious fanatic group, Al Qaeda. The object of Al Qaeda is to bring about an Islamic Jihad, jihad is Arabic for holy war. While the concept of "holy wars" is not new, the unprecedented attack on North America and the wars that have resulted from the attack reflect the agitated state of world affairs at this time. A shift from war as a means for territorial expansion or acquisition of wealth to a expression of religious ideology coincides with the Emotional crisis that is due with an Upward Emotional Crossover that is occurring now.
