Association for Spirituality & Psychotherapy and Integrating Global Spiritual Change, June 6, 2013 8pm

The Association for Spirituality and Psychotherapy formed in response to the rapidly growing interest in the relationship between spirituality and psychotherapy. It utilizes psychotherapy to further the spiritual dimension in our lives with spiritual practices to enhance our personal lives with psycho-therapeutic experience. In so doing it draws from all religious and spiritual traditions, psychological perspectives and scientific theory and research to emphasize individual awakening to spiritual traditions and practices. Staff members and organization leaders from ASP join us for an in depth discussion on this blend of ideologies and practice.

As a parallel to how Alternative Medicine has made a massive movement into main stream health care to give us our growing trend of Integrated Medicine, so too have once advant garde explorations grown into the blending of formerly separate schools of thought as we seek connections through formerly unrecognized commonalities. A common thread throughout the transformation in many fundamental schools of thought is the spiritual element in all things and how it is the invisible force driving the things around us. This recognition may be part of a rising, long term global trend.
